BW120 Recovered and Returned
A BW120 Roller has been recovered and returned to a hire company after being stolen from a site in Derbyshire. The customer realised the roller had been stolen when arriving on-site, after contacting AMI Group to report the theft the AT5 unit was placed into finder mode. Utilising the AMI App a GPS position was obtained and the roller was recovered from a railway station nearby and returned to the customer within hours.
The Bomag roller was protected with the AMI AT5, the industry-leading battery-powered asset tracking and after theft recovery device, with a huge battery life of 6,000 GPS pings, cell site GSM triangulation and a powerful RF beacon.
Roller theft is one of the most common within the construction industry with over a 100 rollers being reported stolen each month.
