AMI Group Crowned the Best Asset Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions Provider in the UK

We are celebrating after scooping a prestigious industry award for the second year running at the 2017 Technology Innovator Awards. AMI Group has been crowned ‘Best Asset Tracking and Fleet Management Solutions Provider – UK’ as part of the awards which are held in conjunction with CV magazine and are designed to recognise and reward the individuals and companies whose innovative thinking and commitment to technology make the industry what it is today.

We offer a range of tracking devices which utilise GPS (Global Positioning System), GSM (Global System for Mobile Frequency) and RF (Radio Frequency) technology and the company’s Nexis real-time web-based platform allows customers complete control and visibility of their commercial vehicles or fleets of construction plant machinery. The company is innovating the smallest, most covert devices which can be concealed almost anywhere on any vehicles or equipment without being detected by thieves.

Technology Innovator Award winners are chosen through a combination of votes gathered from a network of respected industry partners, together with an in-depth and rigorous research process. The award win comes on the back of a number of new product launches and the introduction of innovative means to help recover stolen fleet vehicles or plant machinery. One new innovation is the introduction of drones to help recover stolen assets, for instance in potentially volatile situations where equipment is located on travellers’ sites and the Police need additional verification before entering the site.

Commenting on the award win, Operations Director Peter Stockton said: “We are absolutely delighted to win a Technology Innovation Award for the second year running, and it’s testimony to the innovative approach we have to helping our customers recover stolen assets. We are leading the tracking industry by introducing recovery methods such as drone technology to even further enhance our recovery process. This is helping our customers to save thousands of pounds and it ensures that they receive stolen equipment back quicker than ever before.

“We believe that our unique solutions lead the way as many of our competitors simply offer ‘off-the-shelf’ tracking solutions, but our solutions are completely bespoke and are designed to meet the tracking or fleet management needs of individual businesses. Although many of our customers have been with us a long time, the challenges they face are evolving and we evolve with them,” he continued.

AMI Group’s state-of-the-art tracking devices are covertly installed on fleet vehicles or plant machinery such as Excavators, Generators and Compressors to provide the ultimate in anti-theft protection. Customers can log on to the AMI Nexis web-based portal to establish the destination of assets in the event of them being stolen. Customers can also use the system as a total fleet management solution to help reduce their fuel costs, reduce their carbon footprint or enhance productivity – and they can even remotely immobilise equipment from their mobile phone.
